N.M. online journalists, bloggers predict how news will morph on the ...

It's the kind of work she and other Duke City Fix users, who volunteer their contributions to the site, typically don't have the time to perform, she said.

Paying people to do that type of work for Duke City Fix is a possibility but not a goal, she said. It would only happen if it helped accomplish the site's core mission: creating a socially constructive online community that expresses Albuquerque's identity.

"It would be a means to an end," she said.

Foster said she has received requests to sell ad space on the site, but she has not done any serious estimation of potential revenues, nor does she plan to any time soon. She recently began accepting a small number of Google ads to help pay for the cost of running Duke City Fix.

Looking to the future, she sees online newspapers evolving into a mix of the hyper-personal, opinionated approach of blogs and journalism that strives — but can't, she notes — to be objective and opinion-neutral.

Top 4 Eating Diseases

3.Bulimia is a condition in which the person, instead of fasting, crams even 15,000 calories in two hours' time. The person eats 3 to 30 times the normal amount of food. Then, the person eliminates what she/he ate, by vomiting or taking laxatives/diuretics, or executes difficult physical exercising for burning the extra-calories. Usually, the patient eats secretly, when its anxiety is calmed down, and, after consuming the food, experiences again the feeling of guilt. The wrong use of the laxatives can destroy the gut bacteria, provoking inflammations and infections. Frequent vomitting can provoke dehydration, tooth decay, esophagus lesions and even heart insufficiency. Usually, those with bulimia have a normal weight or they are a little over weight. It affects especially women aged 15-24, and can be triggered/accelerated by stressful events, like insatisfaction or break-up, boredom or loneliness.

Bush grants Navy waiver from sonar ruling

We cannot in good conscience send American men and women into potential trouble spots without adequate training to defend themselves," said Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughead.Waters in high demandWhat has the Navy up in arms is a Jan. 3 decision by U.S. District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper in Los Angeles that restricted use of sonar in war exercises planned off the coast of San Diego and other Southern California counties through January 2009. The next such exercise is set to begin around the middle of next week and last several days. The ruling, called an injunction, bars sonar use within 12 miles of the shore and in an underwater canyon stretching from Santa Catalina Island off Orange County to the Navy-owned San Clemente Island west of San Diego. The canyon has a large concentration of wildlife. The Navy likes to train in Southern California's shallow waters and underwater canyons, as they teach sailors how to detect submarines in an environment where enemies love to hide.

A Falcons town no more

Even after the firing of Dan Reeves, they were viewed as a rising and vibrant franchise, largely because of their four corners: owner, general manager, coach, quarterback. Blank was invested with his checkbook and his heart. Rich McKay was bright, widely respected and had won a Super Bowl. Mora was fiery and engaging. Vick was a difference-maker.

Now Mora and Vick are gone. McKay is a name on the letterhead. Blank finds his own decision-making being questioned publicly more than ever. The only franchise considered in worse shape is the 1-14 Miami Dolphins - and they just convinced Bill Parcells that was a better job.

Blank knows. Rebuilding the front office and roster represents only part of the equation. This off-season also will be about regaining credibility, not just locally but league-wide.
